Mr Ben Mac
Newcomer in the Melbourne Scene is recently turned 18 year old Ben Mac, coming from the Mornington Peninsula. As both a producer and DJ, Ben has built a strong reputation for his ability to get a crowd jumping, aswell as his own music; tracks being played at clubs across the state, with upcoming releases on well known labels such as Drugstore Recordings, aswell has his bootleg of ‘Where the city meets the sea’ gaining 100,000 views on soundcloud. Ben’s musical diversity is highlighted through the wide range of genres you can expect to hear from him, however he specialises in deep/tech house, and on the complete opposite, heavy minimal. Expect to see a lot more of Ben Mac as he continues to develop his signature sounds across Melbourne and Victoria in 2014.
Local Melbourne DJ Matt Montomery fronts up with his “Lost Sounds” mixtape.
Matt’s younger brother Luke has been DJ’ing all around Melbourne for some time. Matt being the intrigued person he is wanted to give it a try. In less than a year Matt has done more than what some aspiring DJ’s will do in their whole career. To what started off as a bit of fun and something to do, Matt is quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with.
You can see Matt play alongside his brother at Wah Thursdays and more recently Fake Tits @ Tramp.
